From adventurous treks up the mountains, to water activities in the serene lakes, from leisurely strolls along the boulevard to a food comma at the many restaurants abound. There is something for everyone in this beautiful city we call our own.
SWIM with the Whale Sharks in Oslob

Getting There : Rented vehicle that will get onto the boat and get off at at Oslob.
Oslob has become famous for guaranteed sightings of and interactions with Whale Sharks. One can see them from the boat or snorkel and dive with them. One must get an early start and be at the Sibulan Port by 6 am at the latest to take a RoRo ferry to the island as whale shark watching is only open from 6 am to 12.30 pm. Bathroom and shower facilities are available by the beachside, as well as local food vendors selling snacks. This activity can be coupled together with a visit to the Tumalog Falls, located a mere 5-10 mins away by car or motorcycle from the whale-watching site. The waterfalls offer a breathtaking view of nature with options to take a dip into the water, have a picnic and generally enjoy the refreshing water and the cool breeze. A good idea would be to take the 12 noon ferry back to Dumaguete and in time for lunch.
Snorkeling & Diving @ Apo Island

Getting There : Rented car or van at approximately P1,250/day (gas not included); Rented bangka at approximately P3,000 for a group of 6.
Apo Island has emerged as one of the top diving sites in the world as well as one of the best-known community organized marine sanctuaries. Home to numerous coral and marine species, this beautiful island is perfect for snorkeling as the visibility under water is beyond compare and schools of fish, both big and small, abound in shallow waters. For those interested in diving, there are approximately eleven drop off spots supervised by the Marine Sanctuary offering a host of coral and marine life sightings with depths between five to thirty five meters. Overnight accommodations are available on the island, however for those intending to return to the City, be sure to be back at the bangka (local motorized pump boat) before 4 pm as all boats must depart by this time

A city landmark and a converging point for both locals and tourists, this strip by the sea has much to offer in many ways. From an afternoon stroll to dining delights and delectable desserts and drinks. Popular restaurants by the Boulevard and in close proximity include Sans Rival Bistro, Jutz Café, Casablanca. The area comes alive in the evening with street food vendors cooking their specialties such as tempura, squid balls and balut as well as rows of tables and chairs for a uniquely Dumaguete al fresco dining experience.
